Receiving credentials for coaching experience is a way participants can be recognized for their coaching capabilities. Coaches are invited to consider their own coaching development, experiences and expertise by submitting an ePortfolio to be considered for levels detailed below. It is recommended that you review all required materials below before applying.

Fee: $99 (waived if completed 30 days after completion of the Team Coaching Program)
• Has completed Microsystem team coach program.
• Has coached one clinical or supporting microsystem for 5-12 months.

• Has completed requirements for Novice 1.
• Has coached at least one clinical microsystem for 12-18 months.
• Creates an individual team coach development action plan for continued development -includes Assessment and Development tool and documented evidence of growth including peer review (Reflective Best Self) and feedback from the team/leaders coached (templates provided).
• Participated as a partner in Co-Coaching (Novice/Intermediate or Novice/Novice).

• Has completed Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, CliftonStrengths and Thomas-Kilmnann Conflict Mode Instrument.
• Is experienced in coaching 6 microsystems or more and 1 mesosystem for 1-2 years. Has completed LEAN Yellow Belt certification.
• Has completed relationship building communication (TCRP, PEP) and relational coordination programs (Relational Dimensions of Improvement and Change).
• Can independently coach a team and leaders with minimal support.
• Participates as a partner in Co-Coaching (Intermediate to novice, Intermediate/Intermediate or Intermediate to Senior)
• Is current in revisions, updates, innovation, materials, resources, applied microsystem theory learning platforms and supportive technology (e.g., ImproveApp Structure and Process and RēsWell.).
• Regularly collaborates with organizational leadership (micro-meso-macro leaders) to link strategic improvement with team coaching activities.
• Contributes to teaching team coaching in a variety of settings.
• Develops team coaching network within context of team coaches and helps to facilitate team coaching network support.

• Has completed LEAN Green Belt certification.
• Certified in other specialty domains specific to i.e.: communication, relationships, relational coordination, leadership, and NCQA.
• Regularly collaborates with organizational leadership (micro-meso-macro leaders) to link strategic improvement with team coaching activities.
• Coaches multiple levels of organizations including leadership at multiple levels of the organization.
• Can independently oversee team coaching programs.
• Mentors 1-2 team coaches, teaches in formal development programs.
• Participates as a partner in Co-Coaching (Senior to novice, Senior to intermediate, Senior/Senior)
• Involved in team coaching networks and presents team coaching impact and results.
• Active in web based social media, blogs, virtual and in person learning sessions.
• Participates in research about team coaching, leadership and improvement.
• Submits a portfolio of team coaching experience including case studies demonstrating the team coaching model, process and outcome measures, specific team coaching strategies and dashboards for subgroups who have been coached.
• An interview, observation (team and leadership coaching and teaching) and evaluation by a selected committee is part of the process.

• Certified LEAN Black Belt
• Collaborates with the Institute to develop supportive materials, processes and research.
• Actively advises the Institute on team coaching insights and recommendations.
• Mentors multiple team coaches, teaches in formal development programs, contributes to material and resource development.
• Participates as member of team coaching/improvement advisory groups and team coaching networks.
• Can independently facilitate and coordinate the team coaches in an improvement collaborative or organization.
• Participates as a partner in Co-Coaching (Senior to novice, Senior to intermediate, Senior/Senior)
• As a member of a research team or individually, designs a research proposal about team coaching, leadership and improvement and executes proposals, analyzes results and publishes.
• Publishes documents specific to team coaching, microsystem improvement, leadership development, outcomes and results and other topics related to population health, organizations, learning health systems in a variety of media.
• An interview, observation (team and leadership coaching and teaching) and evaluation by a selected committee is part of the process.
