On November 8, 2021, The University of New Hampshire hosted a ribbon-cutting for its new state-of-the-art Health Sciences Simulation Center. Speakers at the event included New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, UNH President James W. Dean Jr., College of Health and Human Services Dean Mike Ferrara, Department of Nursing Chair, Gene Harkless and New Hampshire State Senator Lou D'Allesandro. The 20,000 square foot building contains 35 offices, classrooms and simulation labs that mimic hospital, clinic, primary care and other settings to develop the skills they will use to change and save lives. As a result, students will have the opportunity to learn across disciplines and in an environment with real equipment and technology. The building also houses common spaces that will be used for interprofessional learners to discuss cases and share experiences with one another. This impressive and important new resource is funded by the State of New Hampshire, The University System and UNH. Click here to learn more.
