Dr. Russell is a physician board certified in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Boston Medical Center. Currently, he practices post acute care rehabilitation setting as medical director of the Rehabilitation Service Units at Hebrew Senior Life. Previously, he was an assistant professor of medicine in Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the Boston University School of Medicine. Additionally, he was the founding medical director of the Boston University Physician Assistant Program. His area of scholarship centers on improving interdisciplinary team communication in the care of the complex patient. He is currently a facilitator-in-training (FIT-3) with the American Academy for Communication in Healthcare.
