Team coaching is distinct from individual coaching since the focus is on the whole multidisciplinary team and collective performance. Helping team members make coordinated efforts to achieve team goals is core to team coaching and can be actualized as a team coach or in the role of the leader. The Team Coaching Model is the core of our program which has a balanced focus on the human experience of improvement and change and technical improvement aspects including study of the clinical microsystem.
Experience in the field and literature reinforce the importance of coaches staying connected to share coaching stories and problem solve. A coaching network serves to support, encourage and provide resources to coaches to further advance their coaching practice.
